$8 MILLION RENOVATION BRINGS SOPHISTICATION AND CLASSIC ELEGANCE TO LA JOLLA’S LANDMARK HOTEL

Situated in the heart of the Village of La Jolla, just 15 minutes from downtown San Diego, this dream escape boasts $8 million in renovations completed in the spring of 2008. Now, vacation and business travelers are invited to revisit this ocean view, historic landmark hotel and experience firsthand all that is new.

As part of the extensive overhaul, each of the 75 guest rooms and suites in our hotels main building has been completely refurbished. Colorful new draperies, bedding and carpet capture a vibrant, yet soothing, mood. Comfortable furnishings and new artwork reflect La Jolla’s priceless ocean views, bringing new life to the boutique property. Additionally, all of the original single-pane, wood-framed windows have been replaced with double-pane, screen-less, tempered glass windows that open to panoramic views and ocean breezes.

Also recently unveiled is the addition of 18 new, luxury suites in two adjacent wings. Each of the 18 new suites, catering to the long-term-stay, luxury traveler, reflects a more residential feel with full kitchens or kitchenettes and separate sleeping and living areas. Select suites also feature fireplaces, oversized soaking tubs and showers with adjustable body jets and oversized rain shower-heads.
